Sinopsis

Esta película narra el viaje de Christian Vitry a la cumbre de un mundo perdido. Antropólogo de altura y director del programa Qhapaq Ñan, en 1999 formó parte de la expedición que extrajo a los Niños del Llullaillaco del volcán. El hallazgo tuvo una gran repercusión mundial, así como un enorme impacto social en las comunidades de la zona. Antes de iniciar el ascenso, Vitry y su equipo deben pedir permiso en Tolar Grande, la comunidad kolla más cercana a la base del volcán, para buscar una respuesta posible a una antigua pregunta, ¿cómo nos relacionamos con una montaña sagrada?

This film is the journey of Christian Vitry to the summit of an extinct world is told. High-altitude anthropologist and Head of the Qhapaq Ñam Program, he was part of the expedition which pulled out the Children of the Llullaillaco from within the volcano in 1999. The finding met worldwide repercussion, and had a huge social impact on the communities of the area. But before beginning to ascent, Vitry and his team must ask for permission at Tolar Grande, the kolla community nearest to the base of the volcano. To ask again the same question which once lured him to the top, what is the relationship between a human being and a sacred mountain?
